I have considered myself an avid gamer for about as long as I can remember, but it very rarely occurs to me as to WHY I am a gamer. That aspect has always been a major part of my identity; to lose such a moniker, to lose the ability to keep that title, would probably be the non-physical equivalent of removing both my legs by way of hacksaw. My thumbs are titanic, ready to fell a foe in nanoseconds. My adrenaline pumps at a velocity outpacing a Japanese bullet train. My yearning, though financially impossible at this point in my life, is to hoard as many games all to myself, knowing full well that I'll never be able to finish them all. To be encompassed by games is a dream, but I'd like to really understand what has caused this internal phenomenon or, at the very least, what has shaped it.
