Meow Mix
Tippy Cow
// article by Meow

Time for a bottle o' Mooze.

If you were to ask ol' Meow what his preference in alcohol is, it's rum. If you were to ask what his preference in deserts are, it's ice cream. So with these two powers combined, he was gifted with a variety pack of miniature creamy rum bottles flavored after some classic creamy desserts such as vanilla soft serve and orange creamsicles. Well, save for the one that's flavored after coffee creamer, I suppose. The name of this brand: Tippy Cow.

Now, I've had creamy rums before (notably Rum Chata, which I actually use in the production of homemade ice cream), so this isn't exactly a unique thing to me, though the flavorings are definitely what interested me most. They are: Shamrock Mint, Chocolate Cream, Vanilla Soft Serve, and Orange Cream. They're made in Wisconsin in the United States, and they are definitely creamy with a bite of rum in them. They also resist freezing, so you can drink 'em frigid if you're so inclined.

To go through and do a mini-review of each flavor:

Shamrock Mint - I didn't notice any mint. It was alright, creamy. What's the deal with people calling Mint things Shamrock anyway?

Chocolate Cream - Definitely has a noticeable chocolate taste, and I love me some chocolate. However, the cream and the rum overpower it from being a truly satisfyingly chocolaty experience.

Vanilla Soft Serve - Couldn't taste the vanilla. Maybe this is "vanilla" in terms of being "plain/unflavored".

Orange Cream - I remember tasting orange extract from the bottle to test how potent it was some time back. This reminded me of that. It basically just tastes like orange extract dumped into cream. It's also a bit bitter, and not very pleasing to me.

So there you have it. They're all creamy, which is a plus, but the rum tastes a little on the... not my favorite type-side. Think strong but not super flavorful. Of the bunch, I liked Chocolate Cream the best due to it tasting like what it said it was to be tasting like and also, as stated earlier, I like chocolate. I'd stay away from the Orange Cream, though. In the end, I'll keep to rum chata for my creamy rum needs. But hey, this isn't bad either.
