EscapeRouteBritish's Culinary Conquest
Snek Ku "ShoyueMi" Chicken Flavour Japanese Mee Series Snack
// article by EscapeRouteBritish

ShoyueMi snacks come in a large sized packet, but it only contains 60g. Why do we need such a big bag, or are we also paying for air? Look — the packet is barely filled at all.

The bag was very difficult to open. Normally, you just find the big seam and pop it open from the top, but I ended up having to open it with a pair of scissors, through fear that continuing to pull the packet would cause it to split and spew everywhere.

"Spew everywhere" is something I wanted to bring up... haha, "bring up", haha... The mascot on the front of the bag looks like he's not enjoying these "Crispy and Unique Snack Cracker" as the bag calls it.

The snacks are thin, are crunchy, and are quickly consumed. They taste and look like uncooked noodles, if I boiled these they would probably turn into sloppy ramen. Because they are thin, you still get a reasonable amount in the packet.

The flavour does not seem that strongly of chicken, but it is delicious. Unlike other stick-based snacks I have tasted, the flavour is not overpowering. I could, without pacing myself, get through these at a rapid rate.

These sticks are excellent, but I have already finished them. So much for pacing. I want to reach for another packet, which means they are dangerously addictive. These would make a great snack incentive during a late night gaming session, or if a few packets were emptied into a bowl for a group to eat from during a heated multiplayer event.

The bag is loud, so I wouldn't recommend this product for when watching a movie. This is a very enjoyable food but is finished in a short time, and overall is not satisfying.
