Meow Mix
Oreo Os
// article by Meow

The latest in O-shaped technology

Oreos are known the world over as a commonplace sandwich cookie consisting of two chocolate biscuits and a thick "cream" substance gluing the biscuits together. Some time ago, someone decided that they may as well make that into a cereal, I guess, and thus Oreo Os were born. They initially vanished from the market some time back, but I guess they recently made a resurfacing on the market, though for some absurd reason it has a label of being "new" on the box.

In dry form, the first few pieces has slightly chocolatey taste to them with an aftertaste of the famous "Oreo cream" to them, but following pieces just taste of generic cereal, sadly. In wet form, though, the cereal really has some flavor to it, which I guess just goes to show that cookies go with milk. As the milk penetrates the cereal, it takes on a sweeter flavor with hints of chocolatiness to it, and the cereal itself has its flavors enhanced with a creaminess from the milk. The bowl had a lot of chocolaty sugardust on the bottom of the bowl when I was done, despite this being a fresh box.

Speaking of the box, it's pretty barren. It has some Oreo facts on the side, and on the back it has a description of the cereal which is ...honestly something I can't say I see too often. Nutritionally, this thing has jack all. It has iron for days, otherwise it's basically just a sugar bomb. But hey, if you feel like treating yourself to cookie flavored cereal, here you go.
