Sometime back, Jägerbombs were making rounds on the ol' interwebs, and looking it up, the thing was made of a combination of Red Bull energy drinks and a liquor called Jägermeister. Ignoring the bad idea that is mixing alcohol and caffeine, I looked into Jäger a bit more and found that it apparently has over 50 different herbs and spices in it that is a secret recipe handed down over many generations. Puts that KFC to shame, man.

One day, I got the urge to seek out a bottle and found a massive jug of it, and it was a mite on the pricey side. So how was it?

The bottle demands that you chill the elixir before drinking, but I took it both warm and cold. It has a variety of nice flavors to it, with a predominate flavor being of licorice and anise. It went down smooth and was mighty fine tasting. It has a bit of an alcoholic bite to it that is more present when it's cold, I found. However, I'm not too much a fan of alcoholic bite in drinks, so I actually prefer this warm. In fact, I feel this drink would be great with a wintertime beverage of some sort. Perhaps heating up some cream and putting a shot or two into it. If you enjoy black licorice (which I know not too many do), then feel free to give this a whirl if you have the funds, are not an alcoholic, or perhaps can find a smaller more economically priced bottle.
