No real story for this one. I was in the dairy section of the local store and saw Dreaming Cow Cream Top Maple Ginger Yogurt in a closeout sale for a dollar, so I nabbed one because maple and ginger are tasty.
This thing proudly spouts how their cows are grass-fed and barn-free, so that's a thing. It's about 6 oz. of a rather runny yogurt in a wide-mouth plastic cup with a cardboard label that you can peel off to get more information for, including a diagram showing how the contents are set up: a layer of cream on top, a thick puck of yogurt in the middle, and the spices on the bottom. Personally, I think it would have been better to have the spices up higher or something because this yogurt, though good and with a hint of sweetness, really had no maple or ginger taste to speak for. The thing claims that if you shake or stir up the cocktail together, it'll take on a more smoothie-like consistency, but since I only had the one, I didn't try it. But considering how runny it already was, I believe them.
As any yogurt worth eating is, it's packed with calcium and has a healthy amount of protein, an acceptable amount of carbohydrates (since it's only sweetened with the maple syrup and agave nectar), and it has a bit of Vitamin A and C as well. However, this isn't exactly mind-blowing or anything, but it isn't bad either. It gets a very solid "eh, it's edible". I'd rather stick to my usual yogurts or making some myself using freshly grated ginger and local maple syrup.
