Meow Mix
Giorgio Blendabella
// article by Meow

As mentioned in a previous review, my local shop recently made some changes to their store and stock causing many things to be harder to locate and some stuff criminally missing. However, with death comes renewal, and in the canned foods I have found a new series of items called "Blendabella" from Giorgio.

"Blendabella" is described as being a blend of diced portabella mushrooms, vegetables, and herbs on its packaging, and it comes in a variety of flavors, but the one I chose this fine day is Rustic Tuscan because it was the most appealing sounding one of the lot. And despite being made with "vegetables", it's actually made mostly with fruits, namely dried tomatoes and peppers. The taste of this spreadable mixture isn't the most appealing to me, but that's just my personal tastes. I really like the idea of this spread, and it's nice on my cream cheese bagels I have in the morning. There are also garbanzo beans in the mixture that stand out because they're whole where as everything else is chopped. and they tend to roll out of the spread when I put it on something.

I don't think I'll purchase this kind of "Blendabella" again, but rather I would probably make my own variety to suit my needs and tastes. I you're into the taste of sun-dried tomatoes and red peppers, however, then you'll probably enjoy it. It definitely was not bad.
